Tip of the Week
Playing on a links golf course ensures that you will be playing from a variety lies every time you go out there, even when in the fairway!! This week we look at playing the ball above your feet...

Setup:
- As the ball is above your feet, the swing plane will automatically flatten resulting in the ball moving to the left in the air. Therefore, make sure you aim your club and body to the right of your intended target.
- Grip down the handle to compensate for the fact that because of the slope you are nearer to the ball than normal.
- You need to be a bit more upright in your address and keep your weight on your toes at all times through the swing.

Swing:
- Concentrate on following the line of the hill as you swing back.
- Keep the angle of your upper body exactly as it was when you addressed the ball.
- Let your club follow the same path along the hill line and into the ball.
- It should feel like you’re are throwing the club out ahead of you on the follow through not letting the club come too far round to the left in front of you, this is what the curve of the hill will try to make it do.

The ball should start right of your intended target and draw back

Ryan
