Pulled and pushed chip shots?
| Tip of the Week Are you struggling with pulled and pushed chip shots? If so then this tip is for you! Remember in the short game your left wrist controls the clubface, so when you setup you want both your left wrist and the clubface to be aiming at the target. Make sure your wrist or even the face of your watch moves through the ball towards target; this will stop the clubface closing through impact resulting in a much more consistent strike and better direction control. Read a double- or triple-break putt!
| Tip of the Week Our greens tend to be rather undulating and many times during the round we are faced with "double-"or sometimes "triple-" breaking putts. Here is a great way to read these putts: Try to break the putt up into sections by walking the length of the putt and stopping at key points, reading it in the sections rather than as a whole. Once you have got a pretty good idea of how the putt will break, then look at it as a whole and try to determine where you would like the ball to start when entering the last section of the putt. This will help with your distance control as well as the overall direction of the putt. |
